Happy Easter!

Dying Easter eggs. One of my favorite traditions!
It looks like I'm missing a neck in this pic.

Ah hah! There's my neck

My favorite is the red one. Unfortunately it's
not my work. Tyler made it.
Isn't my little sister cute!

Tyler and I celebrated Easter at my parents house last Sunday, and we had a lot of fun. I'm kind of like a little kid with a lot of things and Easter is one of them. I still like to hunt for Easter treats and dye Easter eggs. Who says adults can't still participate? I had a picture posted of Tyler, me, and my brother and sister after our hunt outside, but I looked like I weighed 300 pounds, so it got deleted. Speaking of the hunt I have to mention that I found the most eggs. You may not all know this but I'm actually really competitive. Usually it's with things like board games, but that's because I'm kind of crappy at sports so it's difficult to be competitive with that. Anyway I'm getting of the subject of Easter. We had a lot of fun, and thanks again for dinner mom and dad. It's been awhile since Tyler's had a nice roast. I'm not much of a meat fan, or a cooking fan. Ha!

Madame Tussaud's Museum of Wax

Tyler's eyes are the perfect size to be a
blue man. I always think of Tobias from
Arrested Development when I see these guys.

Simon looked so real.

When you grab Matthew's biceps, he
gets a twinkle in his eye. Seriously.
He didn't look very real.

Tyler and Ali.

I had to post some of our favorite pics from our visit to the wax museum in Las Vegas. I have a bunch more but I'll send the pics of Zach and Amy to them so they can post them on their blog. I'll probably put a few more up because I could only post this many at one time.

More fun celebrity pics

Oh yes my bootie is bigger than Jennifer Lopez's

Tyler's guarding Shaq.
I don't think it is going to do much
good though.

Hugh Hefner and the girls next door.
(We all better dye our hair bright blonde)

VEGAS, VEGAS, VEGAS!

In the Venetian Casino.

Just before the Phantom show.
I got in trouble for taking pics in the theater. Oops

Also before the show.

So pretty!

I felt like were were in Italy
(until I walked through the casino)

After Phantom of the Opera with a
fun view behind us.

The drive to Vegas, we were so tired from
already working all day, but we made it.

In front of the Paris hotel.

We ate at Planet Hollywood in one of the Casinos.
The food wasn't great, but the atmosphere was cool.

Tyler and I decided to take a trip to Vegas for our anniversary and to visit Zach and Amy before they move back to Utah. We drove there on Thursday after work for me and school for Tyler, so we were pretty tired when we left, but we got there and pretty much crashed when we got to Zach and Amy's. On Friday Tyler and I observed Zach teach at his school for a couple of classes. You're a great teacher by the way Zach. We were impressed. Then Tyler and I went off on our own to hang out on the strip, little did we know we were headed for a driving nightmare. We had a hard time parking and getting out of town back to Zach and Amy's. Tyler got really frustrated with the driving problems, and I got really frustrated with trying to get out of the casinos because I feel claustrophobic in them because there are no windows and they make it nearly impossible for you to get out of them. So the first day we were a bit bummed with the strip experience. We had a lot more fun when we went with Zach and Amy because their more familiar with the directions. We ate at Planet Hollywood and to be honest we weren't impressed.

Saturday Amy and I went shopping for fun new makeup and shoes and had a great time. She needs to move back soon Amy so I have a good shopping buddy. Tyler and Zach stayed home and talked music equipment for hours. Zach needs to get back to Utah soon too so Tyler has a music buddy. I'm not a great listener when it comes to all that stuff. We went to Phantom of the Opera that night with Zach and Amy and Mitch and Angela, and the show was so incredible, and definitely worth the money. (Minus the couple in front of us who were enjoying each other through the entire show) I'll let Amy explain that one in her blog. Zach and Amy also treated us to a really good dinner at a Mexican restaurant in the Venetian casino. I've been craving it since we got home. After the show we threw a couple dollars into some of the slot machines and lost them all of course. Although, on Friday I did win five dollars and pretty excited about that.

Sunday we all went to the Madame Tussaud's museum of wax, and it was really fun. We all decided that all the celebrities are shorter and smaller that we thought. I felt like a giant next to most of them, but we got some fun pics. After the museum we all went to In and Out Burger because I had been craving it since we got there, and it was delicious! We drove home that day and got home by bedtime, only to have to get up at five the next morning and start the work week:( We really had a great time though and Zach and Amy were great hosts and hostesses, thanks for letting us invade out home.

Happy Annniversary!

Our lovely burrito dinner by candlelight!

Don't worry it's non-alcoholic
Tyler is good at making a romantic dinner
look not so romantic. Ha ha

I need to figure out how to use my timer so we have
a few more pics not so close up.

Tyler and I made it to our second anniversary on March 4th. It's crazy how fast time flies, but I guess it's a good thing that it's felt so fast. We're still as happy as can be and crazy about each other. We're hoping that by our next anniversary we are closer to having a house and by that time Tyler will be teaching, hopefully in Davis county. Anyway we decided to go to Las Vegas for our anniversary, but for the actual day we celebrated by eating Cafe Rio by candlelight. Yeah, I've become pretty lazy with cooking. After dinner we got our picture taken in one of those old photo booths. We're going to try to make it a tradition every year, and then compile them in a book and see how we look different every year. Unfortunately the one we took last year looked quite a bit thinner. Here are some pics of our anniversary night with my our lovely burritos.
