More of the little ones

Sweet little Zoe

Ezra's head dwarfs Zoe's in this one:)

Beautiful girl!

Check out those cheeks that finally came in!
Can you tell Ezra got mom's big lips and dad's big eyes?

Well these little ones are really giving their mom and dad a major taste of sleep deprivation, but it's hard to be too angry when we look at there sweet little faces. I don't think I realized the constant job having twins would be. Most days Tyler gets home from work and I'm still in sweat pants and haven't had a chance to eat anything other than goldfish crackers and a peanut butter sandwich. It's sure fun though to watch them grow and even start to get different little personalities. Ezra always has a very sweet worried look on his face when he's not screaming because of acid reflux. He makes a lot of grunting horsey noises that crack us up. His favorite place to hangout is on his dad's chest, and he loves it when Tyler sings to him.
Zoe is our little beauty that loves attention. She's already very girly with very delicate hands and features. She has very high pitched scream but also a sweet little coo. She doesn't love bath time as much Ezra does and she sleeps very deep like mom. They had there two month check up and shots yesterday and they are both gaining weight like crazy which is what we want. When they were born Ezra was 4 lbs 12 oz. and Zoe was 4 lbs. 10 oz. and now Ezra is and ounce shy of 10 lbs and Zoe is 9 lbs even. The doctor actually told me I was feeding them a little too much and that was part of the reason why Ezra was miserable after eating with the acid reflux. Oops! Anyway I could go on for hours about them but I don't have the time anymore.

I can't even imagine how hard it would be to have TWO babies with acid reflux! Bella has been suffering from it too, and it's been a very long month. We have tried I think 9 different variations of formulas and medication. We have FINALLY found one that works. It's Similac Alimentum. I don't know if your pediatrician is having you guys try different formulas, but SERIOUSLY...I would try this one if you haven't already. It took two fulls days to see a difference, but she is like a COMPLETELY different baby now! She actually can be awake now and not be crying! It's amazing.

Anyway, I say that because Sydney had acid reflux as well when she was a newborn, and the pediatrician we had back then only gave us Zantac, and would not try other medications and never told us to try any other formulas. (I had no idea that trying other formulas could help the problem). So, for 4 months, she was in a lot of pain, and there was a lot of crying.

Sorry for the long post....I just wanted to share what has helped for us. I hope you find something to help! (Oh, and by the way....if you do try this formula, try the pre-mixed, liquid version of it first. It's easier for them to digest than the powder. I've heard from several people that their babies couldn't handle the powder version of this formula, but the liquid did wonders).

Oh they are adorable! Love those squishy cheeks of Ezra! They really are beautiful babies. And sounds like they are doing great and are healthy! :) Always good news! I remember the days of eating practically nothing and being a total crazy lady by the end of the day because of it! So be sure to take care of yourself too. Anyway, let me know if you'd still like to do some pictures, but I must say you've done an excellent job yourself. Can't wait to meet them sometime! :)
