Drool Babies

This summer is coming to a close and it's actually been a pretty enjoyable, relaxing one for Tyler and I. Tyler was able to go to Morocco and southern Utah with the Army Band and he had a great time. We've gotten quite a few projects done around the house, except for the yard of course but hopefully next summer or spring we'll finally attack that project. I finally bought the camera I've been dreaming of the past few years and I've been having lots of fun with it although I have a lot to learn still. I've even had the time finally to catch up on some of the movies that I didn't have a chance to see after the babies arrived. Ezra and Zoe are getting big and I have to say, more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong I love the tiny baby stage but I really didn't like not getting any sleep, it makes me really ornery. I'm finally getting some sleep again although we haven't perfect the sleeping though the night thing, we're getting there.

Ezra and Zoe are drool babies right now especially Ezra. He can soak the entire front of his onesie in less than an hour. He learned how to roll on his tummy and almost never stays on his back anymore. He even prefers sleeping on his tummy and I've given up rolling him over because he never stays hopefully that's okay by six months??? Zoe is our little drama queen and gets mad if she can't reach a toy or get something she wants. She's so demanding, it worries me for those teenage years. I forgive her pretty quickly though as soon as she grins at me because you can't help it, it's so stinkin sweet when she smiles cause she smiles with her entire face. I hope she doesn't use this knowledge against me someday:) I end up going on and on about my kids about details I'm sure only I care about in these posts. Perhaps the next post I try to come up with something other than them. (You can't blame me though when you look at the pictures above.)

My blue eyed babes!

It's been awhile since I've posted, I know, I know how annoying, but I bought a new laptop so it won't take three hours to upload pictures anymore so I'm going to be better at this. Plus I had to post some of my most recent favorite pictures of my sweeties. I love how they look in just their white onesies. They are getting more and more fun everyday, and getting so big so fast. It actually scares me sometimes how quickly these months are going by. I want to be better at writing down some of the things they are doing.

Right now Ezra has such a sweet loving personality, his favorite person is for sure his dad. He lights up whenever Tyler walks into the room and smiles so enormous when he looks and plays with him. He loves splashing during bath time and he's so patient when Zoe is needy and waits his turn for most things. (Minus food). He loves his jumperoo and is starting to really get some air in that thing. It's hilarious! He is starting to get separation anxiety and doesn't like being put down into bed and then seeing us walk out of the room. It makes me so sad. He is such a loveable little boy.

Zoe is a little bit more demanding and LOVES attention. She gets pretty frustrated when she drops her toy or see's something that Ezra's holding that she wants. She's a little more timid about bath time and gets really nervous in the water. She has the highest pitch little squeal that sounds like she's trying to communicate with dolphins. It's especially loud in the early mornings but when I go in to get her she grins so big that I can't get upset with her even if I wanted to. She loves to play with my hair when it hangs down when I'm changing her, it's really sweet until she grabs it and pulls hard! She is very strong and tries to do little crunches when I lay her down and has a hard time sitting still. I think she is going to have a lot of energy when she grows up. I'm not a high energy person so I'm a little worried about it. She'll keep me active though so I don't ever become a lazy mama.

I'm so happy to be their mom, I feel so lucky everyday, even when i'm so exhausted at the end of the day, it's so worth having them look at me and smile and know that I'm their mommy!

Stressful day!

Today has been quite a challenge, so I thought I'd post a really cute picture of my babies so that it will remind me of how cute they are (most days!!!). Ezra has been pooping all day, I bathed him and he did great fell asleep on me after and then I put him down in his crib for a nap, so I could start Zoe's bath. She loved her bath too, but hated getting out and being cold for a minute. She screamed (you know the ones where they turn purple from screaming) meanwhile Ezra woke up and started screaming himself. So I put a onesie on Zoe grabbed Ezra and set them both on my bed so I could go get some milk (even though they had only eaten maybe two hours ago) I came back into the room to, two purple screaming babies that wouldn't calm down for anything. Don't even think about insulting them with a pacifier or then you'll really be sorry! I put the milk into bottles and put them in hot water (babies still screaming bloody murder) put them both into their boppies and said screw it and started feeding them really cold milk. Of course they calmed down immediately but then I was stupid enough to take the bottle out of Ezra's mouth to get myself situated and immediately the screaming resumed. I quickly put it back in his mouth and still screaming. I couldn't get him to realize that it was back in his mouth. Oh and both babies only ate about half of what they normally eat. Maybe they are both sick or something. Regardless I felt like I was going to collapse after this experience. They are both asleep right now but I know I only have about 20 minutes before they both wake up again. I have so many things I should be doing during this 20 minutes but I just can't muster the energy. Just needed to vent!
